Pet Page Issue #2 - Maya Cabrera’s Cat Manolo

Hello Stingers! Today's pet spotlight features a cat named Manolo!
Manolo is a gray tabby who has eyes that change from green to yellow. His birthday is March 21st and he is three years old. He’s an extremely cute cat who purrs a lot. He lives with a seventh grader named Maya, her family, 3 dogs, a turtle, and a few fish! He sometimes lets Maya pet his belly, but he mostly loves Maya’s mom which can make her jealous sometimes.
What Manolo does on a daily basis:
Manolo mostly eats and sleeps on Maya’s bed. He eats a meal of dry food for breakfast and a meal of dry and wet food for dinner. He likes to play with pipe cleaners, watch birds, and sometimes hunt Maya. Other than that he doesn’t do much, although he is a great model for outfits…

Manolo’s Backstory:
Before he was adopted by Maya’s family, Manolo was named Sonic and he lived with a family who had a daughter who was so afraid of him she wouldn’t leave her room. They were trying to give away the cat, and Maya’s aunt heard about it and told Maya’s mom. After much convincing, they got the cat. They didn’t like the name Sonic, and thought of changing his name to link. But after they watched the movie “ The Book Of Life,” they decided to name him Manolo after the main character of the movie.
