Book Review #1 - The Mysterious Benedict Society
By Aiden Benvenga (11-8-24)

The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart is a great book full of mystery. The book is about four kids who find a peculiar advertisement in the newspaper, which reads, “Are you a gifted child looking for special opportunities?” Many children find this ad, but only 4 are chosen. Their names are Reynie, Sticky, Constance, and Kate.

The children are sent on a peculiar mission that puts the safety of the world in their hands. There are many enemies but even more allies. While the enemies are powerful each kid’s strengths easily counter them.

I would suggest Mysterious Benedict Society to anyone who likes a good mystery or action packed half fantasy. However it is a bit slow, with the plot only getting interesting after the first few chapters . But overall, it's a great book despite its few flaws. In general it’ss one of my favorite books.
